Personal Information Protection Policy of the Association for Electric Home Appliances

The Association for Eletric Home Appliances (hereinafter referred to as the "AEHA") acquires and uses personal information to the extent necessary in executing its activities In view of the importance of protecting personal information, a policy for protecting personal information shall be established that regulates the handling of personal information acquired and used by AEHA, as follows.

  1. AEHA shall comply with laws regarding the handling of personal information.
  2. AEHA shall clarify the purpose of using personal information and shall acquire and use the personal information within the range necessary for carrying out its activities.
  3. AEHA shall take necessary measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information obtained and ensure a proper management system, and shall endeavor to continuously and constantly review this management system.
    In addition, when contracting or subcontracting matters to external partners, AEHA shall limit to partners who prevent leakage, sign a confidentiality agreement, and will properly manage and supervise partners when doing so.
  4. Personal information protection policies for the Certification Center, The Home Appliance Recycling Manifest Center, Designated Body Center and Electirc Home Appliance PL Center are posted on each organization's website.

  2. AEHA uses personal information for the following purposes.
    • (1) For management activites such as contact, administrative reporting, billing work, etc.
    • (2) For communicating with the client and introducing businesses in consumer consultations
    • (3) For sending, contacting, and checking survey forms in various survey research activities conducted by AEHA.
    • (4) For various activities (meetings, seminars, conferences, research meetings, consultation societies, etc.) conducted by AEHA, participant management, liaison work, shipment of merchandise and materials, billing work, etc.
